He got to drive the Humvee simulater the other day. He said it was pretty cool. He is very excited about it. You will have to get him to tell you the details if you are interested. Just thought I would share the fun.

Ok so I saw this on Sister Halls blog and as I love fast, shiny cars I took the test.

Stacey tagged me and being as Trent is one of my five favorite topics I thought this would be fun. :)




1) Where did you meet? (the first time)
We were both in the same art class my Jr. year of high school. He was a Sr. and was siiting across the room from me. I noticed the cute boy with really pretty eyes. That was it for me I was in love. :)

2) How long did you date before you were married?
We were together for 3 and 1/2 years exactly the day we got married. It was only that long because he was on his mission for 2 of those years.

3) How long have you been married?
11 and 1/2 years next month.

4) What does he do that surprises you?
He loves me each and everyday. No matter what mood I am in, or what I put him through. And it is amazing to me.

5) What is your favorite feature about him?
His eyes. That was the first thing I noticed about him and I still can just stare into them and get lost.

6) What is your favorite quality about him?
His patience. My sister says that he has more patiance then one human being should be allowed. I think that it is very true.

7) Does he have a nickname for you?
He is the one who started calling me Brina. Growing up my nickname was Bree. But that is all. He doesn't use little pet names. :)

8) What is his favorite color?
Purple, if he had to choose.

9) What is his favorite food?
Bread and lots of it. lol

10) What is his favorite sport?
I think it would be chasing the kids around. Ok so maybe that isn't his favorite sport but it is the one he plays the most. lol (Trent isn't a sports kinda guy)

11) Who said "I love you" first?
I did. About 4 months before he told me. The first time he told me he loved me was the night before I was leaving for Hawaii for 2 months. Talk about timing.

12) When and where was your first kiss?
It was in November of '93 on the sidewalk in front of K-mart. We had been dating for about a month. My mom worked at K-mart at the time and I would walk up to the store everyday after school. Trent started walking with me after we started dating. So this day I decided to kiss him. So instead of hugging him which was what I normally did, I reached up and kissed him quickly and hurried off to the store. I didn't look back at him I was to embarrsed.

13) What is your favorite thing to do together?
Anything. As long as we are together anything is good.

14) How old is he?
33 in Dec.

15) Do you have any kids?
4 beautiful blessings

16) What is a hidden talent he has?
I think I would rather not share his hidden talent. ;)

17) What is his favorite type of music?
Not sure he has a favorite. He listens to lots of things.

18) What do you admire most about him?
Everything. He is the kindest, smartest, most wonderful person I know.

19) Do you think he is going to read this?
He checks the blog every once in awhile so he will see it sooner or later.

Caden came home from school saying that his mouth hurt. Trent and I tried to see in his mouth to see what was wrong. We asked him where and he said "Way on the back of my tongue" After watching him for awhile we decided he must have a sore throat. Rees asked him what happened to his mouth to make it hurt. Caden said it was the crabs. Trent and I just looked at each other. "A crab hurt your mouth?" I asked. "Yes" he replied. "When was this?" Trent asked. He said "In my sleep story last night." Now for all of you who have not seen any of the Land Before Time movies, he means in a dream. "The crab hurt you in your dream last night?" Trent asked. "Yes, crabs bit my mouth in my sleep story and I don't like them anymore." Can't say as I blame him. lol

This is Paige in her Easter dress. This is the first dress I ever made for her and at all. I thought it came out very pretty if I do say so myself. ;) And you gotta love the face she is making. lol

I remember

I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on the that sad day 7 years ago. I rememeber the horror of watching what was happening on the East Coast. Like so many Americans that day I sat in fron to the TV hardly believing that this was really happening. But I also remember how united I felt with the whole country for so long afterward. I thought the amount of flags being flown and prayers being said was just amazing. I was in awe of all the firemen, policemen and everyday people who risked their lives for others. So as I have many times in the past 7 years I will say a prayer for all those who gave their lives and all those still effected but what happen on that most tragic of days. I hope we never forget.

Took the words right out of my mouth

So we had one of those days when you are pretty sure that the sun is stuck in the sky, you know the never ending day. And tomorrow promises to be longer. So tonight it is finally bedtime. Caden always starts his prayer the same way. "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank Thee we could go to bed...." and all I could think was my sentaments exactly. :).

While I am on this topic......

....I thought I would post this picture of me when I was about 2 and 1/2. That is my aunt holding me. It is one of my favorite pictures. I have been told that you can see my girls, especailly Paige, in this picture. Also shows how much I look like my aunt but everyone in my family already knows that. :)

Who knew?

It was brought to my attention (thank you Aimee) that my blog looks awful in Firefox. I post it in IE and it always looks fine. So I went and checked it out in FF and yikes! it is bad. So just incase anyone else has problems with my blog you might want to check it out in IE. Sorry about that.

Who's Who?

I have people tell me all the time how much each of my kids does or doesn't look like the others. For instance most people think that Rees and Tricia look alot alike and Caden and Paige look alot alike. But that my girls don't look much like each other.
