On June 19th Caden turned 5. Still have a hard time thinking he is that old. On the 21st we had his birthday party. It was a dig for dino bones.
Trent and I fashioned dino bones out of paper roll tubes and filled them with goodies.
Next came the not so easy part of digging the holes to bury the bones in. The kids thought this part was great.
It took us two days to get four holes dug. We have found nails and other junk in our ground around here so we filled the holes with sand from a some what near by sand dune. That was the hardest part. Buckets of sand are really heavy!!
We split the kids into four groups of four and gave each group a color. The kids wore bandanas so they would know which group they were in.
It went well. All the kids ended up with two dinosuar bones each. I think everyone had fun.(If not, please not burst my bubble lol) Of course next year he will be lucky to get cake. :D

My boys are still talking about digging for bones!! Thanks for a great party!
Great idea!
Yeah, it was a great idea. And now the bar is set really high to come up with a great party for mine, and I'm not that creative. But we all really loved it.
