Spring Break.

Last week was spring break for the boys. We had hoped to go to my Aunt's for a few days but she had something going on, so we had to change our plans. We took a few day trips instead. On Sat. the 21st we went up to Lone Pine and poked around. We went back to Alabama Hills and climbed around but after we realized we almost had a close incounter with a mountain lion we left. (We didn't see him, just evidence that we were a little to close for comfort) We went down the road to a creek that had some bridges crossing it. Then down to the local park for abit to eat and play some more.

Trent had to work all week so the kids and I were on our own. :)

On Tues we spent the whole day at Torri's. The kids had great fun running around with cousins.

On Thrus. we went to Lake Isabella with my sister and her kids. I forgot the camera for which I am still upset at myself about. The kids all had fun throwing rocks in the lake. We found a few spots to climb on some rocks. (mountain lion free :)) We also saw some pelicans on the lake. It was very strange. I have been to that lake a million times, even lived up there for awhile but never have I seen pelicans there before.

Then the following Sat. we went and looked at wildflowers with Vicki, Torri and her kids. The kids had a nice time hiking and we saw some really pretty flowers.

We had a fun week (with the acception of Fri)

Jr. Olympics

Today Rees took part in his first Jr. Olympics. It is really strange to watch your kids doing things you remember doing. Jr. Olympics was always a fun time for my sister and I. We just really loved take part in all the events. Rees ran the 100 and 200 meter. He was suppose to do the running long jump but there was some confusion and he missed it. He was ok with that though. After he ran the 200, Trent went down to talk to him. Trent asked if he had fun. Rees said "No." Trent asked why Rees said "Because running makes me tired." He really is the sit and read or draw kinda kid. I was proud of him for giving it a shot though.

Here are a few pictures of his races.

This is him running the 100 meter.

This is him running the 200 meter.

My niece and nephew were also there doing their events. So all in all it was a fun morning watching the kids give it their best.

Birthday Fun!

Last week we had two birthdays. On the 26th Tricia turned 2, and on the 28th Rees turned 7. We had a party on the morning of the 28th for Tricia. We did a Mickey Mouse clubhouse theme as she is a BIG fan of Mickey.

Tricia had a Mickey Mouse cake that I made and Rees had a Sonic the Hedgehog cake that Vicki made.

Torri ran around as Toodles for us, while the kids went from place to place looking for the party decorations that had been taken.
At last the presents and goodies were found and Rees and Tricia opened there presents.

Then that afternoon, we took Rees with a few friends from school and his older cousins, to the bouncehouse to play for an hour. It was a wild and crazy time but I think everyone had lots of fun. (At least I hope so)

Happy Birthday my babies! I love you very much!!
