First Day of School!

Well here are my school boys. Caden started his school career yesterday. First day of Kindergarten. *sigh* Rees is a first grader. Both boys did great and had a wonderful day. No one cried but mom. (I waited until after both boys were in class so I didn't ruin the day for them) Rees put his backpack down in his class and ran off to play with barely a backward glance at us. I was alittle sad. I wanted a hug. Caden told Trent at one point "Daddy you have to go now." It makes it easier that they are so confident and happy to be there. I wasn't alone in being sad that the boys were gone. Paige wasn't happy. "My boys are at school" she would tell someone and wrinkle her nose while saying it.

I'm SO confused!!

So I woke up this morning thinking it was Monday and spent all yesterday thinking it was Sunday. I wanted to get a few things done both Trent had to go to work. So I am hurrying around doing those things and then I told him we needed to stop and let him get ready for work. He looked at me funny and said "It's Monday??" "Uh yeah." I told him. Thinking that he isn't paying enough attention. Little did I know that I am the one who is lost. So I go put something away and Trent is sitting at his computer when I came back on the living room. "The computer says it is Sunday" He tells me. I am thinking your computer must be a day behind. So he starts going through the last few days for me AND lo and behold it is Sunday. I still can't get this straight in my head. I still feel like it is Monday and am going to be confused all week.

So here is my real reason for posting this. So that when I do I can see the date across the top telling me that is really is Sunday. lol. *sigh* Guess I need to quit living in my own little world. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday/Monday. :D

Camping Adventure!

On Thursday we left to go camping with Trevor, Aimee and their boys. We went to Tehachapi Mountain Park. It was a really nice camp ground only about an hour away from here. Nice to have a place to go that was so close. All the kids helped Trent and I put up our tent. We managed to get the tent up without to much trouble even with all the help. lol. After that we wonder around for a bit before dinner.


Trent found a tree stump that looked like a throne. Not a comfortable throne though. lol.

Rees and Ian decided to be pals. Ian was walking around with Rees and Rees was calling Ian little buddy. It was very cute.



















We roasted hot dogs for dinner. Rees wanted to try and cook his, so Trent helped him.
And of course smores for dessert. The kids were excited about that part. :)

Sleeping that night wasn't easy. We had a visit from a racoon amoung other things. The next morning we saw his foot prints around the table. But the next morning we went on a hike and that was fun. There was a nice nature trail right near our camp site.

At one point Caden decided to rest and sat on a tree stump. He got tree sap all over his bottom.

There is this really great park in Tehachapi. So after getting all packed up we went down there to have lunch and play for a bit.

The kids found a lady bug and were all insecpting it.










Aimee showed the boys how to make a train down the slide.
That keep them goin for the rest of the park trip. They would take turns being in front.





It was a nice end to a fun trip.
